Jungles and forest cover most of the mountains in Vietnam.

France took over Vietnam in the 1800's and a war split the country into two parts, North and South. During World War II, Japan moved in. Later, the communist took over. A war took place from 1964-1973. Today, Vietnam is still a communist state.
